460LS nav disk replacement

I have an update disk. Anybody know how to install it?

For the LS you have to go to the dealer and they install it. You get a key code on a flash drive and that is used to download the latest maps to the car's unit. The cost used to be $169 + installation. I have no idea what it is now as I have not updated the maps in my car for a few years. I don't plan on updating them either going forward as Google maps and Waze are far better and cost nothing for up to date maps.

LS stopped using the DVD map discs when the LS460 came out.

Very strange that my 2007 LS460 has a DVD system in the handgloves compartment, for the navigation DVD.

If you are in the U.S. and have an update map DVD then it must be the master DVD that the dealer technician uses to update the nav system with the "NUT" (navigation update tool) that only Lexus dealers have.

If your location "Drenthe" means the Netherlands then it's not strange at all. Toyota used a variety of audio and navigation systems in various countries and regions.

I have a Japanese LS460 and if you go through the settings menus it give you the option to update via HDD or use a DVD. I image you poke the dvd in, select dvd update and away you go.
