Default Weird problem with heat today.

Hey guys
so it is 8deg c here today, I drove about 15 minutes, did not have time to fiddle with the heat but I set it to 80 deg F dont ask me what that is in C i have no idea lol so anyways, no heat was coming on, i tried lots of things when I was idling and nothing worked, but when I drove off again I set it to defrots/feet then it started working again. I have no idea if I have an issue with my heating or I did something wrong.

What is a good way to test the heating system, apparently either it is F'ed or I am not doing something right so rather than guess I am asking. THANKS

Have you checked your coolant level? Mine did the same thing when my water pump was leaking.

so same problem today, no heat then after a while it came on, when I stopped the car, it stopped working then did not come on again.... any of the symptoms sound like something more than radiator or coolant issue?

It's probably a combination of low coolant along with air in the system. Once you fix the leak, a simple system bleed should do the trick!

So i had the radiator replaced with one from koyorad http://www.koyorad.com/ they seem to be a good brand, so I went with that. Will let you guys know how it turns out. so far so good.
