Default White Lettering on Climate Control Button Coming Off...

The wording on my "Climate" button is coming off.

The Lexus dealer says that they have to take out my whole Navi, etc and will be 2500.00 plus labor.

I found replacement buttons on Ebay, does anyone know if I can have my independent mechanic just swap the buttons ?

Any help you could provide would be great.

Thank you so much,
Andrew

It's an eyesore isn't it.? I bet you stare at it every few minutes when driving

It can be done. I changed the navigation trim since it had 3 cracks by the vent area that bothered me. The buttons pop out of the trim panel. The entire navigation needs to come out to do it. Don't even think about trying to pop the trim off. It is held on by many tiny screws.

There is a YouTube video online to remove the Nav unit

Your best bet might be going to a audio install shop to do it . They have all the tools to gently take out the Nav unit.
