Default 2012 brake actuator

Have a 2012 LS, 18000 miles, got it 14 months ago with 5500 miles. Runs perfectly. Read a lot on the forum about brake actuators and how expensive it can be. Is this a big issue with the 2012s?

My 2014 brake actuator was replaced at ~30,000 miles. So, yes, they still go out but I don't know how universal a problem it is (notwithstanding the TSB).

My 2011 had the actuator replaced last year. Mileage was 36,000 at the time. Build date of the car is 6/2011. After several years of brake noise, intermittent hard and soft pedal, and a few near misses on the highway, I (nicely) fought with the dealer to have the actuator replaced. (Keep in mind, this took many, many months!) Lexus Customer Service was absolutely useless and condescending, in my opinion. Just a bunch of lip service. Terrible customer service!
Anyway, after several telephone calls to the dealership manager, we agreed that I would pay $1,000 of the cost of a new actuator and the dealer would absorb the rest. So, I did it. Ever since the new actuator was installed I've not had ONE SINGLE ISSUE!
The dealer stated that as they could not duplicate my specific issue, they would not replace. So, that's why I had to pay the $1k. But, as one year has passed and another 8,000 miles and not one issue, I think it's safe to say that the original actuator went bad. Yes, I fought like the dickens. lol. It wasn't easy. But, in the end, worth it!
