Staggered wheels & Flats
For people with staggered setups, what size is your spare? Do you go without and trust Fix-a-flat? I went away from staggered on my 400 because I didn't feel comfortable on long trips. I'm thinking my LS460 will stay squared and maybe add a spacer in the rear to get the flush look.

Back when I had staggered (18x8" front/18x9" rear) on the LS400 and the wife dented a rim I limped to Pep Boys. They almost refused to put my 18x8" spare on at all; gave the impression the tire and rim would be destroyed by the time I got home....probably explains why they were working at Pep Boys.

A spare is (at least for me), extremely short-term.....literally to the nearest tire shop. I had the factory full size spare in my car with my staggered set up. The overall diameter is virtually the same.

So if you've got 22x9 in front, 22x10.5 in back then a 19" spare is okay as long as tire diameter is the same? I've been sweating it thinking they had to be the same width as well.

So long as you're car isn't AWD then a different sized spare will be fine to get you to a tire repair shop. If it is AWD then all wheels/tires must be the same diameter anyway so the staggered thing isn't even a question, but make sure your spare is the same size as your primary rollers.
