Eek! Rear-view mirror mounting change from 08 to 12?
I'm ready to put my old RadarMount MirrorMount in the new car, and after digging up one of those evil Torx bits to tighten the ball-and-socket mount on the windscreen, I find something has changed from 2008 to 2012. The bracket no longer fits over the mirror's mount. There appears to be a piece of plastic keeping two cables under control, which is cool, but I wonder if I'm going to regret removing it. If I do, what are the chances it doesn't go back on? The cover/cable corral-er thing.
Nope. I've GOTTA HAVE the V1. Gotta.
It seems significantly tighter in that entire area, though this car does have LKA, which puts cameras up there, I think.
Yay! Another ten minute job which is going to take an hour because of unexpected stuff.
Though, at least I have a car on which to do this...
edit: Not a huge deal, but man, is that cable collar stout! After I had it off, were it not for the texture, I'd have not been confident saying it's definitely not aluminium. Now, to wire it all up.

It is interesting to see what they improved on and what they skimped on when there is a model refresh. The big thing Lexus skimped on for 2010-2012 LS460 was going to rubber door armrest for nearly all trim models. You just happen to have the ultra rare one with leather
