Hello. This is my first post. Just purchased a 2008 LS 460 a month ago. The power windows have always operated correctly. A couple of hours ago I got in the car and the only window that will work is the drivers window. The other windows would not work at all, not even from their independent door switches. I then pushed the "unlock" button on my fob and all of the windows went down (that means they all still work). Buy now they won't come up, either from the drivers switch or their independent door switches. Should I unhook and rehook the battery?
I have not seen this particular problem anywhere else. Usually the windows will still work from their independent door switches.
Unhooked negative side of battery and reconnected. No change in window status. Windows which would not work individually or with master drivers side switch did all go down when "unlock" button pushed for 3 seconds. But now they won't go up. Or light up. Or do anything.
If it's odd it comes my way.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened. Windows worked when i went in the store. Did not when I came out.

Can anyone help me? Don't want to go to dealer.

Make sure the master window button (driver door panel switch) is unlocked. If it is pushed down (lock position) you won't be able to operate the windows except the driver side window.
Havent tried the button yet. family is still asleep. but wouldn't the master switch still work the windows even with the lockout switch pushed?
No, it won't. That switch effectively kills power to the other three windows. I know it seems illogical (and it was to me, as my old Jeep didn't do this), but it's like this on (at least) most Japanese cars.
Success! Thank you RayLS. i have posted thanks. The master lockout switch was activated and all was locked out. Master drivers' switches don't work when master lockout switch is pressed. Probably pushed wrong button when I exited car. All windows work now and it is getting warmer.
2008 LS 460 Silver Metallic with black semi-Aniline leather 99Kmi. It is the nicest car I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot in my advanced years.

Thanks to Caha14 too.
You're welcome.
Just FYI. If you happen to leave the windows open after exiting your car just PUSH and HOLD the black button on the door handle until all windows are closed. This works even if the master window lockout button is activated.
