Default LS460 non-ML audio upgrade question.

Good evening,
I am looking into upgrading my speakers and amplifier in my LS460 without ML option. I have found this product: https://pac-audio.com/catalog/amppro...faces/ap4-ty11
Does anyone have any experience with it? I am planning on using a DSP (PXA- H-800, with the remote for volume and fading), but would like to see if I can get the audio signal before the stock DSP gets to it. I was able to do that in my previous car (2016 WRX with harmon/kardon, it did all of the fading and volume functions in its amplifier) which was similar in setup, albeit more primitive (it had left and right analog signal I can tap into that was not processed direct from the head unit before the amplifier, and sent the control signals on separate wires) from my understanding. I was able to use the DSP for volume and fading. From a quick glance searching online I understand that the Lexus sends audio and control signals through the same wires. Please correct me if any of my information is wrong. I want to take my time with this install, and pick out the best components to use with my current equipment (DSP and amplifiers).

You would be hard pressed to find any help with that here.. I have posted a few threads asking simpler questions about audio and have come up black... however....!!! interesting question I'm also interested to see who responds.

Unfortunately I don't have a direct answer for you related to the speakers, but I have successfully installed a powered subwoofer in my non-ML LS.

Thanks, it's nice to see that others have interest in the topic. I found a thread where someone did a complete replacement of their radio in what appeared to be an older LS, but I am trying to keep the dash stock, as I like the existing radio, just not the speakers or amp. I saw a thread where it was mentioned that the stock DSP in the amplifier would cut the lower frequencies when you raise the volume and I want to avoid having to deal with that. I'll keep reading. What did you tap into for your subwoofer? Did you notice a drop in volume of the lower frequencies when you would raise the system volume?

Well, the specs include the LS430 but not the LS460. You'd have to contact them and ask if it works on an LS460. I'm with a previous poster - get a decent sub and amp - it will make all the difference.

Any wiring diagrams available for the amp in this car? I tried google, but I didn't find anything good, except for some pay services that seem fishy. I believe I have the Pioneer Amplifier in this car, at least that's what the "hidden menu" told me. Like I have mentioned before, I have a DSP that can do all of the sound processing with a nice looking remote to work it all, so losing functions like fade volume and balance are not a big deal, I never use the navigation so losing its voice isn't the end of the world either. I am trying to see if the audio signals for the CD/DVD come as a digital signal and the radio separately, as I am finding mixed information on my search. I have enough inputs on the DSP to work with it if that is the case. Unfortunately, this DSP does not have summing functions, so if in the end that is my only option I will have to pull the trigger and get something like what paulmhand suggested.

I did call them and they said none of their products have been tested in the car. The tech said If I want to test it myself, I can buy one, but unfortunately they would not be able to help me if it does not work. I ordered something from them and will fiddle with it when it comes in. If it works that will be nice. https://pac-audio.com/catalog/amppro...faces/ap4-ty12. When I asked if they will be rolling anything out with definite compatibility to the LS460, the tech said most owners don't really show interest in doing anything to these cars like this so they won't be testing them. I have a decent sub and amp for the lows, as well as 2 to choose from for the highs. Memphis 16-MCA3004 and a Hertz HDP4, Although I like the Memphis as it was what I used in my last car. the Hertz amp was never used, just sat in my garage. I plan on replacing all of the speakers (one is already hissing at me, but only at higher volumes. still it bugs the crap out of me). The sub I plan on running is a Memphis mojo 12'' that was rebuilt by PSI audio run off of a Sundown SCV-2000D amp. I may go smaller with the sub, but I haven't gotten that far in the process yet.

I figured I would update now that I have completed the install. No one makes any integration harness for this car, I called every company I could find that is in the business. I ended up using a Helix v-eight amplifier with morel 3 way active in the front, morel coaxial in the rear and 2 Audiofrog 12" subwoofers. The car sounds awesome, but I ended up not using any of the equipment I already had. It is quite a project in this car, took me quite a bit of time and I still sought help from a professional for a few things and tuning. I don't know how this forum is about recommendations, but the shop that helped me out does phenomenal work.

Morel Virtus for the front and Morel Hybrid integra for the rear. Audiofrog GB12 for the subwoofers.

i have the Hybrid integras in the back as well, what size did you go with?? i went with a 5 inch coax and filtered out everything under 600hz, I have some dotech 6.5 mids im going to use in the back and make the hybrid integras a super tweeter....
are you using a DSP? If you ever get tired of the VIrtus upfront ( you wont lol) look into the audison AV Voce K6. they sound real natural..... How are you liking the GB12s?

I have the hybrid integra 403's in the back. The GB12's are nice, but there is a little issue I am having with output from them right now, not quite sure where the issue is yet. I am using the built in DSP of the Helix amplifier, it has 8 channels in, 8 amplified channels out + 2 channels non-amplified RCA out.
