It may have a small effect but my experience with Lexus and Toyota leather is not good. It seems to crease (and eventually crack along the crease lines) no matter how diligent you are with it. Of course, an abused card will wear much quicker.

I've had a number of Lexus vehicles for a long time and the leather has held up great. Those were older Lexus vehicles however. My 98 LS400 had 170k on it and the leather looked fine, my 03 ES300 is still in the family with 198,000 miles on it and the leather is fine, no cracking, etc.

Yeah, my '99 RX hasn't fared well - no tears yet by plenty of deep creases. Time will tell. What really frosts my a$$ is that my neighbor's 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis leather looks like new after 200,000 miles!
