Cool air comes out the rear vents, but it's not nearly as cold as the front vents. And the rear vent velocity is very low, and doesn't seem to vary based on the front vent velocity.
Some threads I've read imply that the "filter" (recirculate?) button - the one with the strange icon - must be "on" for the back vents to work.
Bought the car used a few months back, so I'm not sure which "rear A/C" option I have (or how to determine).
I know I don't have the executive seating option, but some threads I've read seem to imply there is a rear A/C option which is distinct from the executive seating.
The car is black with a black interior. And I live in Houston. And it's August! Help me!
I have rear ac also wo the executive seating. On your screen you have button for climate. Select and on screen at top of ac there is a touch button for rear. Select it and rear controls come up. You should be able to determine set temps etc.
if if you don’t have an owners manual, you should locate and purchase one or download it from Lexus, I did a free download to have but mine came with books.
If if you have a good independent mechanic you trust that works on Lexus, give him a call.
Not sure if this helps or is what you need, but attached is the section for rear a/c from owners manual. It really sounds like you need service performed like Freon, but maybe this will help.
