What was the ball joint that you used ? Do you have a link or part number ? I am trying to replace my LH knuckle ball joint ls460 2009 as it starts leaking
then it looks like i bought a one that has air filled from ebay.They are $48 for both sides.I also
gave an order for febest brand that is $53 per piece!
Thank you for the post. I replaced all 8 control arms in my car (2008) and it still makes front end noise. Mechanic says its my lower ball joints. The lower forward arm came with the ball joint but the lower rear ball joint apparently is a separate item. After some online research, I called Lexus and they confirmed that they only sell it with the knuckle. Price for the knuckle is 400-500 for each side. Has anyone found where I can purchase the ball joints separately? 09 and higher seem to sell seperately just nothing for 07-08. Would the 09 fit in my 08?

Seems the easiest way is to replace the knuckle with ball joint all together.
Question is, if its easy to separate the knuckle and the wheel bearing & hub. If they are seized together then the wheel bearings may need to be replaced as well.

I bought the cheap chinese aftermarket no brand from amazon ($40 a set) and could not get them to press in. I gave up when I found out the diameter of the ball joint is 46.1xmm while the bore on the knuckle is 45.9xmm. No amount of heating of the knuckle and freezing of the ball joints would make fitment possible, right?

Here, if the ball joint diameter is not anything near 46.0xmm, don't bother installing.
Amazon has a lot of Chinese aftermarket ones for dirt cheap and fast delivery but chances are, they are a waste of time.
