Differences between 2013 Ls460 f-sport and 2015 Ls 460 crafted line
what are the essential differences between these 2 cars other than appearance?
I’m considering trading in my RCF on a CPO LS460. The local dealer has a CPO 2015 LS460 Crafted Line with 21,000 miles and a 2013 LS460 F-sport with 22,000 miles. There is a $10k price difference between them, but in all the research I have done online, other than the black and white storm trooper look on the 2015 there doesn’t appear to be any difference in the vehicles.
The 2013 has LED headlights vs HID in the 2015 which is odd to me, I would think the newer car would have the better headlights.
The 2013 also has Adaptive Cruise where the 2015 doesn’t. But that isn’t a deal breaker for me.
Are there any any other Differences?
both have ML audio (is the 2015 ML better?)
which is is the better deal in your opinion?

I’d go with the 2015 hands down. To me, the LS is a luxury car and I’ve already gotten the sport car bug out of my system.

Well just got back from looking at them
the 2013 May only have 22,000 miles but it looks worn, headlights are scratched and faded. Seat had tears, tires are shot, brake warning was on, front was sand blasted with road debris chips, the car felt aged. And this was a CPO car.
The 2015 was in very good shape, but they were asking ~$3,000 over fair market for it and have “no haggle” pricing on it. There are 3 other 2015 LS460 Crafted Line CPO vehicles identical to this one with similar mileage for $1,800 - $3,600 less within 50 miles.
They wouldn’t budge on the price so I walked. Going to check out the other 2015s tomorrow.

Personally I don't care for the crafted line. I don't like the black trim pieces, and I don't like the red insert on the interior. I do like the shimamoky wood vs the metal trim in a regular F Sport.
FYI the "Crafted Line" is also an F Sport.

I actually like the red interior of my RCF, which is why the crafted line caught my eye. the black wheels are ok, not a huge fan of the black mirrors or door handles, but not a deal breaker.

but the seating position in my wife's Camry, and from what I could tell during my test drive of the LS, is a lot more upright and allows me to stretch my leg better, taking the pressure off my hip and hamstring..
So if I am going to be forced to get a sedan, I want it to be as sporty as possible. I am just not ready for a grandpa car, and don't care for SUVs or crossovers.

I wouldn't get any LS then, its just not a sporty car in any way shape or form. You can find big body cars that are sportier...

My RCF is paid off, my goal is a lateral move with little to no out of pocket.

I have a 2015 Crafted and I LOVE the colors. Like Steve said, even though it's an F-Sport it's not really a sporty car. (Sporty looking though) I do like having the selectable air suspension--never turns it into a sports car, but does give you some control over the way it drives. I've read that the Crafted came in RWD and AWD, and supposedly a black paint as well as the ultra white. I've never actually seen one in black though. I believe most or all of the options were locked down on these, so there wasn't a lot of choice which options to get. I watched the market (autotrader) for a while after I bought mine to verify that I got a good deal, and they're definitely not hard to find out there. The one Carvana has listed for $56k is a re-list--they've been trying to sell it for three months that I know about, and I think it was as low as $47k at one point. Strange they would relist it with such a higher price.
Try to get them to let you borrow it for an extended test drive. Drive it for a couple hours and you'll know if it's a good fit for you.
