Default Disappointed!

I have been wanting an LS for several years now. Now that I have one I have a problem. 2009 LS460L. (Roof Drip Trim). Apparently, the rail is vinyl wrapped. Well mine is peeling. Only had car a week. I feel like an idiot. So excited upon purchase didn't notice this at the time. Or I just got jacked. As is purchase, my bumper to bumper warranty through my bank doesn't cover cosmetics. Lexus corporate nor dealer, will do anything. Color is Truffle Mica.

Welcome, I know the feeling ! I was so blinded by excitement also when purchasing my LS460. I didn't take time to comb over the whole car. I needed to spend $500 to fix a trunk motor and needed new hid bulbs. Did the repairs myself.

Use a plastic trim tool and pop off the drip mold. Get them both primed and painted by a paint shop. They may suggest pulling the vinyl off the one that is peeling. Good lluck

Don't be discouraged. You have a fine vehicle and small little things like that can be taken care of and you move on. You'll be very happy in the long run.

Agree with RZ.....it is a small issue when compared with other brands (ask me about my BMW 7 series).

As for removing the wrap cuz "it will look awesome".........I personally think it looks terrible. FAR too much shiny bits. My opinion.

If this is your biggest problem on a 9-10 year old car you’re doing just fine lol.

Just replace the trim. No big deal.

Peoples expectations to me are mind boggling lol.

Happened to mine a day after I bought it. Peeled right up next to the windshield. Took it to my local paint and body and had it painted to match the car for $150.
problem solved

Well the disappointment comes from the fact that I once was a salesman of the Lexus brand vehicles and never saw anything like this before. Thought it was paint not vinyl wrap...
