Default Control Arms

I just purchased a 2007 LS460 base. Black with ivory. !00k Reading all the stories about the control arms and knowing that the ones on my car are original with 100k should I be worried about this.. I do not here and noises while driving my car. I assume they are ok at this time. What do you think?

Worried? No. Just be aware.

So much has been made of this, but people don't realize, the rubber bushes which are in suspension/steering parts do wear out and things become noisy/sloppy over time.

I have a full set of urethane bushes I'm going to put into my front-end, and I likely won't have to touch them, again.

At 115K miles, I have a little bit of noise, but tire wear is normal and steering/suspension slop is non-existent.

Mine were all fine with 87,000 miles. I just changed them because of all the noise on this forum. Cost for me was minimal, I never would’ve messed with them if it was going to be expensive since they weren’t even bad.

Careful with these, they tend to make a lot of noise on their own unless you stay on top of lubrication.

Yeah, I have 'em in my ZJ Jeep, though, it's not like you're going to hear anything in a 20 year old Jeep which can be distinguished from all the other sounds.

I'll make certain to put a thin coating of silicone grease where it's going to rub on whatever and run with it.
