Seems like it’s a new problem every month for me but I won’t be discourage lol.
Recently my alternator went bad, couldn’t even jump the car. So I replaced it myself as well as the battery. Now before I replaced anything my battery light came on as well was numerous warning lights. I searched on here and it pointed me to the altenator. Now after replacing the Alternator and Battery I get Check Genetator warning at start up but once I start driving it goes away(sometimes). I googled and seen a post about the Battery Current Sensor but i wasn’t sure... Any thoughts or experiences on this ?
Btw I notice a fried or burnt smell went trying to jump start the car... maybe I fried something ... but I’m currently driving the car so it runs.. it’s just sometimes when I start the car up(especially cold starts) my Ac shuts off and I get the warning.. sometimes I just turn the car off and back on and everything is back fine...
sorry for the long message
Anything come of this? Did you get it fixed? Was it an alternator issue, fuse issue or just like dirty terminals?
I went back to check and re-tighten the connections to the Alternator and it was fine, last year I had to change it again, maybe because it’s not oem but one from Oreillys. A few weeks ago I got check generator again but just once was that was it.
Awesome, So my alternator is going too? I just replaced the starter after replacing the transmission 3 months prior. I just put a new battery in it and that warning "Check Generator" came on followed by "Limited Electrical Systems" . This damn car is just a never ending money pit huh? lol.
