Thanks all. Little cold feet here so I’m just trying to decide what to do. Maybe
wait a bit and save for a 2011-12. I appreciate all the responses and
will keep reading and learning.

Warranties are one of the hotly debated topics here at CL and any car forum. My opinion on getting one for a Lexus, would be to decline it. Dave above, gave you good advice. FWIW, my 08 which now has 210,000 kms, would not have taken advantage of any warranty except for the water pump. I replaced that myself for 50 bucks.

Thanks for all the responses. Cold feet have me reconsidering.
I might wait and save for a 2011-12. I appreciate the willingness to
help here and will continue to read and learn before I make the jump.
Heres a small chance I might do this but.....
