No good deed . . .
I saw the weather report for possible snow overnight. My wife was about to start cooking when I said: "Dear, let me take you out to dinner tonight, since it may snow tomorrow." She called some friends who said they'd meet us. We hopped in my car and hit the expressway. About 5 minutes in, a warning pops up on the dash. It says one of my tires is low. No problem, has happened before. Says the tire is at 26. Then 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20 . . . . I have never witnessed a tire go flat right in front of my eyes. By the time I parked the car in the furthest spot I could find, the warning was at 14. It was 6:45pm, but I called Lexus anyway. Service was closed. Interestingly enough, Lexus is only a few blocks away from the restaurant. Before our friends arrived, I decided to change the tire. I went in the trunk, and I could not find my lug key. I knew it wasn't in the glove box because I had changed the air filter. So, we walked to the restaurant.
By then, our friends arrived, and we had a nice dinner. As much as it pained me, we left the car, and our friends drove us home. It did snow overnight, but with the current rain, it's probably going to freeze considering the temp is roughly 25. I haven't called Lexus yet, but I will shortly. The saga continues!
Call and complain, they sent me a gift card for bringing this to their attention.
When I got home, I knocked off as much snow as I could and stuck it in the garage. Within a couple of hours, the garage was filled with water from both cars. Cars backed out, garage swept, snow and ice removed and now they are back inside. Such a fun day! Oh and notice the spare wheel on the front. Guess they don't put Telios on the spare. Ordered new tires and will have them put on next week.
I have AAA, Lexus, and Roadside through my insurance.. they all take 1.5 - 2 hours for emergency roadside assistance, and it is usually always an issue with the wrecker company, not the service itself.
interestingly though, the last time I used AAA; was to assist a buddy when his truck blew the transmission; he limped it to my house, and we called for a wrecker but scheduled it for the the next morning to take it to a shop, as nothing was open @ 9pm and the driver was on time.. Arrived dead on at 7am

Oddly, I didn't pick up a nail, the sidewall had a cut in it. I don't know how it happened, but apparently in the stop and go traffic I must have run over some piece of metal.
