Default '13 F Sport - need new pads and rotors

In need of new pads and rotors on our 2013 F Sport. After 20K miles on the current ones we were told by the dealer that we'd need new front brakes.

Would like to know what you guys with F Sport recommend to use. I see the Akebono pads in the DIY stickie but no mention of rotors. Also, I really, really hate the squeal of the OEM pads. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Happy holidays!!

Just did the brake pads on both the front and rear of my F-Sport with the Posi- quiet. They’re nice and no more squeaky noise. I think I saw a post here that most people agreed to that brand. That was why I went with it.

Yes...many of us here went with Posi-Quiet from Centric. They're a great choice.

I replaced all 4 wheels about a month ago with the centric slotted rotors and posi pads - way better then stock. I would do it the same way again.

Would you have the part numbers for the slotted rotors? Would like a slight upgrade over stock rotors. Pads, I'll go with the recommended here.

Thanks everyone!

I have an AWDL so it looks like the parts are different from the fsport. Here is the link that will provide the proper part numbers however, I would recommend calling whomever you purchase from and reviewing with them. I purchased mine from buybrakes.com and it was a very pleasant experience.

Also note that they have complete kits that are not on the centric parts list?

Good luck my friend.

I was in a pinch and threw a set of pads in a few weeks ago. The squeal was ear piercing. I pulled them out and put the OE shims back in, with some lube, and no more noise.
