Default Auto climate control

Had the 07 for about 5 weeks now and problem free one the mouse nest incident was fixed. One thing I can't figure out though. I am used to setting a temperature and leaving my cars on auto. Last car was turbo Regal. In this LS it seems like sometimes when I turn it off briefly and come back it will still be set as it was. However if the car st s awhile the system doesn't come back on, and when I do turn it back on it always defaults back to 75°, a bit warm for my taste. Is there some menu setting i missed??

very common issue.. your cabin filter is not put on right or air recycling assembly is broken. Many threads about this topic.

Yes, I just replaced the filter after I bought the car. I took another look, sure enough it wasn't seated right. Good news Is that I made sure before I replaced it to make sure it was in recirculate mode. The mechanism is operating fine, will now go into recirculation and hold the temp. Granted i stopped and started the car in short time frame, hopefully in the morning it will still work. Thanks HFahmy for the prompt and correct guidance. I have been involved with many vehicle forums, this one is great. The only other one that was so complete was the Miata forum, as those things never die and the ownership population was tech savvy and not afraid to wrench. Thanks!!!!!
