Climate Control Problem

Im having a problem with my climate control the system is not switching from fresh to recirculate like it should when i cange temperature. Does anyone know what the problem could be or if its going to cost alot of money.

is the system on auto? i though if it's in auto, it will auto detect if it's better to use fresh or circulated air?

All of a sudden today after i had driven the car a few times it started working again it should work whether its in auto or not even though i only use auto. Also does it turn the ac on when i place it on defrost or do i have to prgram it to do that.

Now my cd changer is broke i hit a pothole and not im getting err3 on the screen what could be the problem.

Checked with the dealership they say they dont work on cd changer they would replace the deck which costs 500-600 dollars. I guess ill go aftermarket.
