Smile New owner/Motor cover tabs

Good morning everyone,

New 2013 Lexus LS460 F Sport owner. I've been wanting one since the 2007 LS L Executive package. Instead I got a M6. Not the greatest decision lol. Anyway I'm finally getting rid of it and have been blessed with this LS. One of the first things I noticed is that it doesn't have some of the motor cover tabs holding the plastic covers in place. Is there a place (ebay, etc) that I can purchase them from? Also, what is their exact name, in case I have to contact Toyota/Lexus to purchase them? Thanks for any help given.

The tabs can be purchased at any auto parts stores.

Thanks, Arvid! I didn't know we could order those. I kept breaking them whenever I removed the engine bay covers.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one. I was pretty embarrassed and upset when I broke one and lost another in the engine bay. I have since not ventured to remove the engine covers. Hopefully, I will be braver now, and also get myself a stash of these clips!

I order a bag of these every couple of years on Ebay. I think the last batch I bought was 1.99 from China with free shipping. Just be sure to order the correct ones, cuz there are several different variants.

I didn't have peace of mind because if the electrical gremlins. A light was ALWAYS on for something. Then they have crap that isn't even related connected so when one goes out it throws something else off.

Now performance wise u never had an issue. The motor and transmission ran well. That was, until LITERALLY the day I got the LS the Bimmer took a crap on me. Like as I'm driving home with the LS literally lol. So put it in the shop and come to find out it's a rod bearing (common problem with that motor). So there's everything in a nutshell. No peace if mind=no true car enjoyment.

I'll miss the sound/whine of that V10 trust me. But I love not seeing lights lit up on the dash all the time for silly stuff I should be able to fix in my driveway but can't becsuse the part has to be "programmed" to the car by BMW.

All that being said, I have a M6 for sale lol. Not trying to make much money off it it. It's already paid for. So if you/someone you know is in the market let me know. I already have one offer, but I'm a business major and no sale is final until money is in hand lol.
