2008 LS460 Dash and Door "leather" sticky and soft
I have noticed that it's impossible to keep my dash clean. All dust etc. just sticks to it because it has become soft and sticky. The door panel is so bad that I have to put a hand towel over it or it rubs off and stains my pant leg. Is there anything I can do to reverse this or use to recondition it. Unfortunately my fingernails have also gouged and scratched use areas around the door handle on the door panel too. Has anybody else had this issue?

LS460 sticky door handles covered in matching leather
Hello TK
I also have a 08 LS460.My door handles and glove box are sticky, the dash is fine.
I took mine to a good auto interior shop and had the handles covered in matching
leather, they look OEM, problem solved .Cost 235.00 per door.I ordered a new glove box from
my dealer for a grand with tax,I will it install myself.I just got tired of trying to get it fixed
by Lexus.By the way those handles unbolt from the door panels.

Replaced
I recently had my oil change and they replaced my dashboard and door cards. Also they replaced a few leather pieces and armrest. Go check if it’s part of the recall. It’s total cost was 9000 and some change.
