It is slow by today's standards for a 80k+ luxury car.
"Slow"? I dunno....compared to any of the other luxury sedans on 0-60times.com, it's as fast or just slightly slower than the others. Unless you;re talking about top speed, which it sorely falls behind, but that's only because it's governed. It's capable of far faster top speed. For example, the Aston Martin Rapide S has a 0-60 of 4.6, but a top speed of 204 mph. So the LS is not far behind in 0-60, but incapable of keeping up past 130 mph or so.
With as much rubber/sticky goo as there is on the line at any commonly-used legit drag strip, street tires aren't going to slip on a full-throttle launch (probably).
