My guess is that you have a problem with your parking brake and should probably consult your dealer.

Not sure if the previous response above was a joke or not, but maybe we can be of more help. Have you had any battery issues lately? Sometimes this issue crops up when a weak battery is involved. Do you have a code reader? I would start with disconnecting the battery for a few hours and then reconnecting to see if the issue goes away. Do yo have any aftermarket equipment or accessories? Some members have had the issue occur when they had a datasystems controller installed.

When my battery about to go out I had that message about No parking brake too.

I have been riding around with this error message for about a year now. I made this same post a year ago and really didnt get any help about this issue. I also had a few people mention a failing battery. I replaced the battery and the message is still there. Its probably something that just needs to be cleared out by the dealer but I never got it done because the dealer will rape you just to clear out a code.

Can an app like Torque not clear the code? Then if it comes back you can investigate further.

Of course checking and testing your battery is good but it sounds you have a fault in the parking brake actuator. Clearing the code is not going to fix anything. If handy picm
up a copy of Techstream and a dongle off eBay or Amazon.

My 2010 ls46p got the same msg with abs brake maufuntion parking brake light on. Brought it to the dealer. It is acuator. The car been in the dealership for 2 weeks now. Still waiting for the part from japan. And yes. The dealership cover this.

Partly joking, partly knowing that the likelihood of him actually coming back to check and respond is very low so why go to the trouble?

I know that's not the best way to approach these things, but I was having "a day" :P
