VCI, in this context, stands for Vehicle Communication Interface and refers to plugin access to your vehicle's electronics.

As to your Parking Brake issue: you should have your car's battery tested. When the battery's SOC becomes too low to operate the parking brake motor reliably the car is supposed to give a warning. There are other possible causes for the indications but the battery is a good place to start.

Do you know how to use a OBDII reader?
You might wanna take it to the dealer to see what they can tell. They shouldn't charge you just to read the fault code.

Does anyone know what the new procedure is for the 21+ IS as I tried the initial guide on this multiple times and nothing. So I am assuming the procedure would be different now on this new IS with electronic parking brake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can also buy one of those Chinese bootleg Xhorse mini VCIs that allow you to access Techstream. If you do, get the latest cable update because it allows you to see the live data when your engine is running. They run on older versions of Windows. I have an emulator on Windows 11 that runs Windows XP in the background to access it. Might sound confusing, and I'm not a computer guru--just lots of YouTube and research.

Lobuxracer supplied the manual way to do this if it applies to you.
