engine check and vsc light reset
I have a high mileage LS 460 (155,000 miles) and these lights come on regularly.
The lights are somehow interconnected and you have to read the codes. My codes are 172, 175, which say that bank 1 & 2 are running rich.
With this mileage, I suspected fuel injectors, which for this engine are crazy prices and the dealer says there are hardly EVER any injector problems.
I should say that I have used an additive for cleaning the injectors with little success.
I have bought new oxygen sensors to see if that improves the running rich, they have not been installed yet.
If anyone has had success with this problem I would sure like to know what worked for you.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, I haven't tried the fuel system flush or the rebuild-the-injectors suggestion.
Has anyone out there, tried these and are they worth while?
Thanks for any help.

Get yourself a cheap code reader on eBay or elsewhere. Mine was about $15. Then enjoy your neck and back stretching exercises to put the code reader into the socket by the brake pedal. Check out the code online and hit the reset button and hope it doesn't come back. PS it probably will. I've become very familiar with the procedure and just yesterday was able to connect the adapter while I was driving the car to reset a recurring code I get every few days. But believe me this car is well worth it and I'm still so in love with it.

Many thanks brother, sounds like a smart way to tackle these types of errors, but don't you think to rectify the error properly by changing parts etc would be a permanent solution? I'm based in Dubai and we don't have access to great products like the U.S have and I'm a novice when it comes to technical stuff for cars, can you please help me identify the right product for me? im pasting a link below for a local online store who have such similar products will appreciate if you can advise which one to purchase.

This is the model I have. Very simple and works well. I also have one of the wireless ones which is great for more complicated things when linked to your phone (seems to take awhile to connect) but for a quick read 'n reset, nothing beats the simple orange one. Post the code you have once you read it.

Try erasing the code in accessory on position with the engine off. But it looks like you or your mechanic may need to replace the oxygen sensor to solve the problem. Perhaps try a fuel cleaner see if you have any success, they're very cheap. Good luck!
Many thanks! will get the sensor replaced.
Changing the sensor will come in time - the genuine part stores have the parts you need in Dubai.
