Default 2012 ls 460

I am considering purchasing a low mileage 2012 Lexus LS 460.
I prioritize safety any reliability. I've been driving a Mercedes E class for many years. Low mileage driver. Is it time to make the switch?

They are somewhat different cars. The Mercedes vehicles of late have had disappointing reliability. If that is important to you then steer clear of MBZ and BMW. Audi has improved significantly in the last couple of years but that is not reflected in their VW siblings so this may just be a blip in the ratings. The LS is a good-looking, safe and reliable, if less-than-sporting, car. If I could get a good looking (think E34, E39), reliable, new BMW, I'd jump at it; unfortunately they don't make one. Same with MBZ. So the LS460 it is for me. I realize "good looking" is a personal opinion but reliability is not.

YMMV.
