Default Air suspension

ok all you air suspension owners listen up. Lexus wanted close to $5000.00 to replace both struts $2600 for struts the rest in labor I replaced both air struts ($2160.00 for 2 struts) on my ls 600 hl, took less than a hour per side.

1.remove dust cover on shock tower 3 nuts
2. Rotate actuator to remove no need to unplug
3.remove bolts holding shock 3 nuts
4.jack up car remove tire
5.remove air line
6.remove brake line that is attached to strut
7.remove bolt holding strut bracket (bottom of strut)
8.remove bolt holding bracket to suspension
9.detach bracket from suspension
10. Strut should come right out

1. Insert new strut in hole hand tighten strut nuts
2. attach bracket to strut hand tight
3. Attach strut bracket to suspension (pushing down on rotor will help with installation)
4. Line strut to you air line tighten bracket bolts
5. Insert air line till it clicks (reinstall clips)
6. tighten strut nuts
7. reinstall actuator (turn counterclockwise)
8. Install bolts and tighten
9. Install tire and start car air should pump up struts

one more thing I did not buy the air tube separator ($50.00) instead I took the plastic caulk tube end (the cap that screws on tube to prevent caulk from harding) cut a piece off then split it in half slide over air line with a pair of pliers push in until air is released pull air line out
