Default Steering wheel **** accessory for better grip?

Is there any good **** that would attach to the bottom of the steering wheel in the 6 o'clock position that would allow me to rest my right hand there for steering?
I like to place my right hand right at the bottom of the wheel and grip it, but since it is just a big flat spoke, you can't wrap your fingers around it dead-center on the bottom of the wheel.

Or maybe there is a steering wheel cover that would allow me to get my fingers in there just to clutch the wheel right at the bottom center?
Thanks for any ideas. I have a 2014 LS460.

My advice would be to give yourself some time to adapt to it. Any solution there is going to look terrible...

Thanks. Yep, as suggested, I drove around and got used to it just resting my elbow on the center console. I'm too much a creature of habit.

I too prefer a 4 spoke steering wheel, but clearly that's more and more out of style.

WOW, I remember those from a mid-70's Chevy we had in our family. I got to drive it at one point....not sure I would put one in a LS but, to each their own.

My grandfather drove a city bus for 40 years, and always swore by the "suicide *****." I remember his 1965 Ford Galaxy had one, and as a little boy, I always thought it looked cool and sporty. I haven't seen one (or even thought about them) for 30 years or more... Maybe you could start a "suicide **** revival" thing?

Why do they call it a "suicide" ****?

The "****" was invented in the late 1930's so you could make sharp turns really fast while driving without the hand over hand method of steering and the "good ones" had bearings on them..... However some drivers would use the **** to steer the car while having their right arm around a girl or doing "other things" that would prevent them from paying attention to the road AND their shirt or jacket sleeve would get caught on the **** preventing the driver from steering so that is why these steering ***** are called: SUICIDE *****.

BTW! A lot of old timers who drove buses, fire trucks, tractors, fork lifts, etc for a living swear by them....... I have one on my John Deere garden tractor and love it! However, I would NOT put one on my car.

I also miss the 4 spoke wheels. Easier to hold the wheel while crusing with my fingers around the 7 o'clock spoke.

I have a steering wheel **** on my boat and absolutely love it. I think people should use them on their cars if they like them and not be overly concerned about how it would "look" to others.

Except that they are illegal in cars.

I'm not worried about what it would "look like" to others. One reason I bought an expensive Lexus is that it's beautiful, so why would I want to tack some ugly thing in that beautiful steering wheel it took somebody a month to hand craft?

I'm with SW15LS on this. But also, I do all my driving with my left hand. Because this LS is about the only auto slush box car I've ever owned. And if the LS would have came with a manual transmission, that's what I would be owning. I'm used to using my right hand and arm for everything else but steering, and it feels uncomfortable with my right hand on the wheel, even in the LS. My left hand stays in the 7 to 10 o'clock position all the time. No need for a ****.

OK, thanks again. Does anyone use a steering wheel cover? If so, what? Is this useful to protect the wood?

Why? You have a beautiful wood leather wheel a craftsman spent a month making. Just enjoy it. Why cover it up so the next owner can enjoy it?

Good point. Like the plastic covers on furniture I remember my grandmother and her friends used for the rest of their lives. They never touched their own furniture.
