First 100K down
This is pretty cool! Im thinking i'll hit 100k in about a year! Call me silly but I take a photo every time the odo flips every 10k into the proceeding number.
Idk...I really enjoy the LS. Even though its aged, it still "feels" new to me. My wifes uncle has an S-Class, '12 MY and it is nice, but idk if its bias ( I try not to be) or if its a truth, but I do enjoy and prefer the over all look and ride of my older LS to his newer S-Class. With that being said though-the MB is still an incredibly nice and classy car, no question!

Newer isn't necessarily better.
On road trips, I guarantee the '73 Coupe DeVille I used tocaptain own was better.
However...8 MPG was not. Neither was parking garagedocking navigation tying up with a two-door car a few inches longer than a mid-90's Suburban (NOT a Tahoe).
This said, I'm pleased with how the LS 460 L does road trips. It's very old-world Mercedes-like in that it's firm yet forgiving.
edit: I would not be surprised to see this car being the last daily-driver I own. I'm 48, so even 20 years of work at 60 mi/day, it'd still be well under 500K miles. Pffft!!!!!
My wife was, um...counting...52, I think, when we got her the RX300 in 2004. I told her before we bought it, but after we knew it was The One, "Sweetie, so you know, this will likely be the last car you ever own, right? I just want to make sure you're okay with that."
She has been.

I bought mine used two weeks ago with 98k and it's just about there, 99,974 at the moment. I'm glad to see everyone's positive posts about the reliability of this car, it's such a nice car for it being a 2008
