Congrats, that looks great, Teedub!! Didn't you buy a used controller on EBay? How much did it cost altogether, controller plus installation? The great thing about the DS is you have 10 different height settings, correct? What's the setting in this photo?

I picked up the controller on eBay for $500 shipped. That included the wiring harness. I installed it myself using directions I found on this forum. Took maybe 45 minutes to install.

In these photos the controller is set at level 3 front and rear.

Lynzoid...WAT?!

Try more actual words and some punctuation, wouldja?

Teenagers? Really? I'd be not at all surprised if I am older than you. Also, I have owned a few dozen vehicles, myself, wrenching on every single one. Two wheels, four wheels, and six wheels.

Finally, "esp system"? I know the LS460 is advanced, but I had no idea it had extra-sensory perception.

Ooooooh...ESC, probably. Lowering my car an inch has zero effect on how the car determines which tires exceeded available traction.

I'll be sure to tell you how dropping my car a little over an inch damages it over the next 300K miles.

Uh, oh. The transmission will fail/explode if I change the fluid and filter, too!

/facepalm

mckelly.... Looking back at your screencap, we're using the same version of TS. Have you seen a message stating it needs to update and that you can only connect XX number of times before it locks?

A few of the promised screencaps. One shows initial settings, one shows bottomed out after bleeding air from all four corners, and one shows the custom view I had to create because my copy of TS didn't have one preconfigured as mckelly's seems to have.

Don't worry about Lynzoid

always one of him in every forum

he mentions data controllers as if its any safer to use then Toyotas own techstream lol

Just to add to your thread ive been doing some of my own digging and it seems that 0.8 inches is the magic number for these techstreams, not sure why , I belive it might be the factory "wiggle room" that can be safely adjusted.

But looks like you've gone even further then that so that's pretty amazing

Every time I would exit active test the compressor would kick back on and raise the car back up to original height. Got it looking like this but couldn't save it

In Height Adjust, drop each corner no more than -0.8" and see what happens. There's a theory this is the max, but I have my fronts dropped 1.1". Personally, I think the 0.8" limitation is because it refers to the Height High function.
I'll take my computer out to the parking lot, later...I keep the Techstream cable in the car...and see what it says. Regardless, I'll see if there's something special and take notes. You know how it is...you do something 20 times over the course of 90 minutes, and you forget about steps. This is even more true if you've done it over multiple days.

Hi McKelly and 213374U, It looks like you guys are trying the same thing but it is working for only one of you. While reading the Datasystems thread, I saw this post from another Techstream user to lower height (see below). You haven't referred to his method in your posts (setting reference height), so I am wondering if there is another method to lower height. If it's all the same thing, forgive my ignorance!

I'm off work, today...odd schedule, but it's nice to have W-Th-F off...so I'll dig into it a bit. I'm going to put her up on stands to change all the transmission fluid & filter, anyway.

213374U, nope, never have seen such a message. Say, in what part of FREEDOMLAND are you?

Have you ever launched the software with an active internet connection? Does it try to connect to TIS update servers?

I'm down in Round Rock, just north of Austin

No, I am completely disconnected from the 'Net when running it.

Round Rock, gotcha. The whole corridor on I-35 between Georgetown and Austin was a shock to me when I saw it for the first time in about 15 years, a couple of years ago.

I see, the attached is why I ask.

And yeah, the corridor between Georgetown and Austin is insane now. 15 years makes a big difference, but we moved to the area in 87, you wanna talk about change......

I've never seen that prompt, though I may have firewalled it.

I need to correct my previous statement, as I always have a live 'Net connection, so we're the same, there. I nuked my WiFi connection the first couple of times I used it, but forgot after that.
