Hi all, I've recently bought an LS460 which was built in 2006 compliance in 2007 (Australia). I have noticed that it doesn't have the button for the sport/comfort settings of the suspension but only has the button for the transmission on the centre console. The VIN is JTHBL46F305003141 does anyone know what the consequence of this is? Do I have air suspension? Is it an early system that has been superseded? Any suggestions or information would be appreciated. Picture of the interior shows just the one button as described. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply but I'm hoping for some actual details not a guess. There was only one LS460 released in Australia with no available options unlike the US and other countries where there were various package options. That's why it seems so odd and why I'm trying to get an accurate answer. Cheers Philip
OK! Firstly, a thank you to Cosmotiger, your assumption is correct. I found the following article from Drive.com.au back in 2006 which advises the following for anyone that may be interested:
"Lexus has been forced to delay the release of the LS460 in Australia after a communication mix-up with its Japanese parent saw an important technology feature left off the car. The LS460 was due to be launched here in November with a new form of electronically controlled air suspension that would have matched its German competitors.
Soon after journalists had tested the new air suspension on a global launch in Europe, Lexus Australia was told by head office that the system had not been allocated to Australia. Red-faced Lexus managers were forced to tell the media that Australian vehicles would initially receive the normal, five-link coil suspension instead.
Australia has since successfully argued for the air suspension to be included but has been told it will have to wait until about May next year for the equipment. When it does arrive, the all-new luxury flagship will have the world's first eight-speed auto transmission and an all-new 4.6-litre V8 engine." Www.drive.com.au.
Glad you got that figured out. I also encountered 'regional inequality' - mine is RU region LHD. It's all good, airsus (even beefier than us/eu version), autopark, awd, BUT LKA, PCS, radar cruise and AutoHighBeam were 'not allowed' to be sold in RU market at the time... Some claimed 'radar frequencies of a lexus will mess up military comms' lol.
