Default Do you use Brake hold function?

There is hold button on the steering wheel to be able to hold the car when your feet is off the brake. Do you guys use it? What you don’t like about this function?

I use it all the time when driving from traffic light to traffic light.

Works great in "stop and go" rush hour traffic. The feature is like cruise control..... The more you use it, the more you will love it.

Never use it. Along with self-parking, I find this option useless to me.

I think this function sees a lot of use in metropolitan areas with lots of rush hour and stop-go traffic. Where I live, rush hour traffic means five cars ahead of you at a traffic light, and there is no stop-go traffic on the expressways or elsewhere. There has been an occasion or two where I have used Hold, but more often than not, by the time I remember to engage it, it's time to disengage and go..... I guess I am not destined to enjoy the pleasure of using the Hold feature

If you get use to this brake hold function, when you drive different car, will it create dangerous situations?

Same here - once in a blue moon. Never used the self parking feature ever.

You would think so, but when for instance I drive out van which doesn't have that feature it never bothers me.

I think you are over-thinking this. I've never had this issue either.

I'd like to use it but I park very frequently against a concrete wall in a garage. I'm afraid that when I park and inch closer to the wall the hold function will engage and I'll need to step on the accelerator and move too quickly.

I use mines frequently especially when I use the drive thru services. The auto emergency parking brake takes over to soon.

Not necessarily. For example, my LS obviously has Lexus assist parking (beeping sensors). My wife's CT200H does not. Everytime I drive her car and put it in reverse, I have to remind myself that there will be no beeping when I'm close to an obstacle. Several times that has caused an issue when I've nearly backed into something. We get complacent when we get used to these types of things. It's no excuse for bad driving habits, but it is what it is. I see the same thing happening with lane assist. Shoulder checks...nah.
