Looks like I am the odd man out but I don't care for this mod. I recently had a Ford Mustang as a rental car and it had this option and I was embarrassed to unlock the car at night. People do seem to love this though- it drew a lot of compliments from valet guys, other folks, etc. Just not my thing at all. I noticed Lincoln is doing it as well (no surprise given the Ford relationship). For me I just don't like anything that does too much promoting of a brand (clothing with big logos, too many logos, etc) so it's no surprise that I don't like this. I would be the type to remove all badges from a car. To each his own!
same here.. in the same league as the light-up mercedes emblem
Please, pardon my late post/slow reacation regarding my observation, however I noticed that the logo that illuminates from my aftermarket courtesy lights are a bit different from the others posted here...
I have been debating this mod for a while and cannot decide. Sometimes, I think it is cool, and other times that it's a bit cheesy. I haven't checked carefully, but does this product fit on 2013+ cars?
I am also intrigued by the illuminated door sills. I haven't seen many CLers who have done this (searched the forum and got only three hits from a few years ago). Of course, there is the cheap Chinese knock-off and the OEM sill plate from Japan costing 100s more. Would love to see some close up photos if anyone has made this mod. Thanks!
For the guys that does not have rattle problems. what exactly brand did u get? I just ordered another set exactly as the op. got it today open shook and still rattled
I bit the bling bullet! My wife loves it -- no reactions from others as I have rarely parked anywhere at night just yet.
Mine are rattle-free. Here's the eBay link where I purchased them:

Reason: Clarity
You know, everyone is completely entitled to their own opinion, that's part of what makes this forum and other open forums enjoyable.
I will say though, that vehicles are beginning to embrace this type of "halo lighting" in their vehicles.
The new 7 series, depending on the package purchased, will cast an illumination of lines beneath the car onto the ground upon approaching the car. Now, the light to my knowledge does not spell out "BMW" per se, but it is lit beneath the car. Perhaps for some, its just the fact of anything lighting up beneath the car signifying the brand, or just anything lighting period.
Another example would be the new Lincoln MKX. Upon approaching the vehicle, a large illuminated Lincoln emblem casts' onto the ground beneath the vehicle.
I've also recently seen the LED back-lit MB grille emblem as well as a newer Infinity with the LED back-lit grille emblem, and I have to say, it is in fact eye-catching.
I like it.
However, without a question, to each their own.
Here's a few Pic's of my. I got them done a few month's ago and I love it. Best Mod ever.
Looks great. Can you please post the links for the interior lights (seat back and footwells)? Thank you very much! Hopefully, they will fit in a 2014 LS.

Mine look exactly as RLtoLS460 posted above. Everyone that sees them comments on how cool they look. My wife wants them for her CT200H but they aren't available.

That cool blue is really nice...
How in the world did you manage to change out those small bulbs? Or is it the lighting from the photo?
Also, I noticed between the photos, the first photo the dome lights and puddle lights are on, but in the second photo, only the puddle lights are on. I thought they both came on/faded out together, no?
Okay guy’s this is how I get the blue light. I installed these LED strip from the picture below. I bought the blue LED strip from Ebay, disconnect the puddle lights and ran the connection to the led lights. I also did the same thing on the back of the seats.
with lights on with lights off with lights on
