The USB you connect to has to be in one of the specific ports, think it's usb1. When it is correct, the CarPlay icon will turn green. Need iphone5 or above, too, I believe. When you plug it in, your phone will say CarPlay and there is some authorization you have to do.

DUDDEEE!! Now I see why this unit is great, CarPlay is incredible! Thanks for the help, I would buy you a steak if you were here. The problem was: a USB HUB. Disconnecting from the hub solved the issue. Hub was in USB1. I strongly suggest everyone here as well to get the rii i8? keyboard for input.

I can't get vline (no picutre on display screen) or ivic 5d(lines through pictures per installer) to work with my nav system. I have an LS460 with Mark Levingston w/o self parking. It came with no cable connected to to the blue video display port in back. I need to know if Lexus/Toyota, has either nav software that doesn't allow the video display port to work properly or is it a hardware issue with some nav units allowing access to the video display. Thanks for your help

so after letting it sit a night. came back to try this morning and seems like the lag is pretty much gone. still not as fast as I would like it but it's bearable now. guess it just needs to settle down and a good reset. installed Google maps but am unable to use the mic button to enter directions or ask for a poi

Installed this a week ago and today big problems started with the video and reverse camera would not work, see YouTube video below, I looked at the unit and pressing up on the DisplayPort video cable solves this issue. Very strange, I will be calling grom.

I had a very similar problem with a vaistech unit I had on my LS430 - turned out to be a bad harness and once replace worked like a charm. Hope it's the same for you.

Hi, So My VLine went bad, all original navigation buttons did not work and the screen was black, The VLine looked dead, could not measure any voltage and no green LED lighting up inside the box and was yesterday sent back for a new one ..
meanwhile I have bought me a Samsung 7, what do I need to get hold of for mirroring the phone when I get a new VLine ???

Have any of you got Netflix working on your vline? Don't mind much of the bugs, but really wanted Netflix to work. Ideas?

Sorry to hear about your VLine problems. Hope the new unit solves things. VLine is not meant for mirroring your phone. Beatsonic makes products for mirroring your smartphone.

Been running car launcher pro and I must say the launcher is leaps and bounds over the stock launcher. Visually appealingly and loads up after restarting the car a lot faster. Only took 5 secs. Was even able to get waze to finally work . There's a trial version if anyone else wants to try it out first. It even got the mic to work while using maps. So gotta say now I am 100 percent happy and satisfied with the vline purchase

I'm a total android newbie (only use ios) so this may be a really stupid question. If you change your launcher, do you still have access to CarPlay? I'm not sure how the structure goes - ie - is CarPlay on the vline itself, or is it a program within a the stock launcher.
