Default Hit & Run now I need a part

Last night someone backed into my 2008 LS460L, the only damage is to the right (passenger) rear tail lamp lens, not the lens on the trunk, the one next to it (see photo).
I think the part number 81551-50160, can someone please verify this is the correct part number and offer any suggestions on where I can get the OEM part quick and cheap?
Also is it easy to change out with 2-left hands and a small brain. Thanks,

I am sorry to see the damage to a beautiful car. Insurance should cover this, so why don't you take it to the dealer? Good luck!

I am a bit puzzled how someone could bump into your car without any damage to the rear bumper. It seems to me that someone punched a hole in the taillight with a small dense object (stone/ball etc.).

That's the right part number. You can try eBay or a junk yard.

If your deductible is higher than the cost of buying in junkyard or eBay, then these options make sense. Otherwise, get it repaired at the dealer. Especially since you are not confident in your DIY skills

That was a hell of a bad hit....it turned your car upside down!!

They're stupid cheap on Ebay and are easy to replace. Or...you could do like many of us here at CL and replace them with LED tailight assemblies.

I have to look, but I think I have a full set of the rear tail lights that I'm not using. Cover the shipping and they're yours. I'm sure the wife would be glad I'd be removing a box from the garage.

PM me.

When you swapped out the old taillights with LEDs. I assumed you only changed the bulbs, not the entire unit with the colored plastic lens and all. Wow! Can you post pics of your taillights?

Nope, complete light assemblies. They are very nice and haven't had a single issue in the nearly two years I've had them. They're plug and play and easy to install. I got them from Carid. Here's a long thread with pics and such:

Insurance is never a good idea on damage like that. Not just the $500+ deductible, and potential for rate increase - but the big hit you will take on the Carfax will take thousands (minimum) off the car's resale value.
