Upgrading center display system
I was wanting to update my 2007 LS 460 center display to a more updated system. Is this something that Lexus can do? I am trying to get a system that I can use Pandora and/or Spotify. If this is possible, how much do I need to budget. I do have the Markk Levinson sound already installed so it would just be the center display computer that i need to upgrade if possible.

I know you had relative success with that, but most of the rest of us, did not. Clunky, awkward, and not without numerous hiccups that simply made it all too frustrating and not worth the aggravation. So much money down the toilet. I still long for a truly well-integrated mirroring system.

yes it's out... but not an aftermarket to oem integration unit.. u either need an aftermarket head unit already equipped with car play or purchase a new car with car play in its firmware.. to retrofit it into an older car there doesn't yet exist an option. hence I said it will take a long while for it too reach market.. android auto will be out faster..
furthermore for all the apple guys.. try this.. it's work for us in the past.. purchase whatever a/v input device u wish.. (to get your a/v signal to the oem screen)then add an apple tv unit to its a/v input. u can use your phones wifi Hotspot to feed it signal or u can get a dedicated in car hotspot.. either way u can then screen mirror from your iPhone to the car thru the apple tv.. or u can use the apple tv as it's own source....

they've had few different video inputs for our cars..(I have the Vaistech ML plus) that's the easy part...what's was harder is getting a glitch free wifi interface.. there are tons out there... but a glitch free 1 is hard.. for Apple it's the apple tv... for android u have chrome cast, fire sticks an a bunch of other...
