Default Carista app Question

I see Carista came out with a new version 3 today. They have also changed their pricing structure. My question is this: Will my old app that I paid $19.99 for still work? If I understand the e-mail's that I received today they are no longer supporting the earlier versions. But will still work?

Hi, of course your app will still work. Not only that, but you will also be able to use the full functionality of the new update at no additional cost.

Enjoy

So the app store shows that there is an update for my Carista app. If I click on it to do the update am I going to be asked to pay again or will it jack up my current app so that I cannot use it because I don't want to pay for the Version 3 update? Just want to make sure I am not screwing up my current app from working? How do I get the full functionality of Version 3 without paying for it? Will it upgrade without asking me to pay for something just because I already have paid for the Pro version?

Sorry for all the questions but the only thing I use my ipad for is this app as I am not an Apple product user.

Don't worry, just update it and you'll automatically have full access to everything. You don't need to do anything special since you already own the Pro Package.

Why wouldn't it work? It's just an update. There have been numerous updates since the introduction.

This is a great app too. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent on my car.

Sorry for the pedestrian question, but can someone please articulate to me the advantages/feature of Carista for 2013+ LS460 models?

I understand the 2013+ models exposed many of the previously hidden features to the user via the Remote Touch interface... did this (somewhat) negate the need for Carista on 2013+ LS models?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you

There are still many setting that can't be reached in the UI.

When I get to it, I can give a couple examples.

Thank you, HUSKERnKS.

If you, or anyone else, could provide some examples for us 2013+ owners, that would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Go to this website and select your car: http://www.caristaapp.com

It will list all the customizations. A couple examples I see are:

After locking with smart key, don't allow re-opening within…
0.5 SECONDS / 1.5 SECONDS / 2.5 SECONDS / 5 SECONDS

Open windows and sunroof via long-press on remote
ON / OFF

Seat belt warning
DRIVER AND PASSENGER / DRIVER ONLY / PASSENGER ONLY / OFF

There are many others as well.

I haven't played much with it but, it can download the IDs for the TPMS so you can set up another set for aftermarket wheels.
