Default Removing exhaust tips on 2012 ls460

Are there bolts holding the tips into the bumper. I want to remove the tips to clean so as not to scratch the paint. It looks like 2 10mil bolts on bottom, but I read some posts on Google that the tips just pull out, what is holding them in place? Thanks for any help.

I just cleaned a pair of LS tips (on the car) with Bar Keepers Friend and now they look like new...... Took some time but well worth it.

I use the Nevr Dull wadding as well. No need to remove the tips.

Cleaned the add on tips for the SC with the Never Dull product. Good results.

Just be careful not to rub over the painted areas around the tips....

If you do decide to remove the tips, the Never Dull product is still applicable.

Do you use Never Dull on any of the other chrome pieces (grill, trunk lid, door cladding)? Except for the lower parts of the grill, these pieces seem to keep their shine with just regular washes. Will order soon!

No. Only use it on the tips. A regular wash and dry will keep those other pieces clean.

Yes, don't use it on the other chrome trim. That trim is actually just plastic. Only use the nevr dull on actual uncoated metal trim.

Awesome. Glad it worked out. FWIW, that stuff is great on many other metals you may have around the house. My wife for example used on a few antique silver teapots and the like. It's awesome and goes a LONG way. I've also used it on old and weathered, magnesium rims and looked like new after.
