No more MAYPOPS!
That's right guys. The car has 25k miles on it, tomorrow will be the end of rolling on the original Maypops. I'm getting Cinturatos. TOMORROW! YAHOOOO!

Before & After...
Turns out, they actually were Maypops. I highlighted in red a line on the outer edge of the tire. A portion of it I didn't highlight so you guys could see it better.
The tire guys said it looked like the tire was separating at this line. So, yes, them suckers could have popped at any time.
I drove the car home on Friday, and there it has sat. It goes tomorrow for a 4 wheel alignment.
Check out the before and after below.

I'm definitely curious to know your take on these tires. There is a thread in the 430 area and its pretty detailed but many seem to enjoy the tire as do the few here that have them. I'm currently I'm the market trying to decide whether ch tire is the better choice and it seems as though these P7+'s are the way to go, almost without question.
Have you noticed that they are very smooth and quiet?
I'm asking because it seems that your old tires were in pretty bad shape, and I'm assuming that you would have noticed a near immediate difference upon even a short drive in the P7+'s. Was that not the case?

I noticed an immediate difference coming from the same tires he did and mine only had 7,500 miles on them.

I did notice a difference. It felt like ... a traction difference. The tires did seem quieter. But ... the old tires weren't that noisey, and these days I focus on listening to the sweet sound of my Exhaust Vents / exhaust sound. But for real, I just tip-toed it home because I figured and was confirmed at the tire shop that an alignment was in order. Even if they had said they didn't believe I needed an alignment, I was getting one regardless. So I've been holding my opinions because I've just barely been on them.
I brought the car to the office today (3 miles), and was jamming the ML sounds, and will drive it to the alignment shop (1 mile) at high noon. The tire shop guys recommended this shop, said this guy is the best. I called him as I was leaving the tire shop and the guy sounded straight forward, honest, but had a full shop every day. So I scheduled it for this morning.
I'll drive it a lot more after this alignment, I've only tippy-toe driven it twice since these tires went on. One last thing, the Michelin whatever tire in the same tire segment has taken the ratings lead. And I would have stuck to Michelin if it were made in the 245/45 R19 size. But since not, the Pirellis were the best choice.
