What do you guys think: 2011 with 40K for 33k non certified but all work done or 2011 with 51K for 35K (haven't negotiated yet) certified? The Certified is on the other end of the country - I would have to buy it without driving it...
Both cars a sport package and loaded equally.

Can you buy a warranty for the one you've driven? If you can I'd buy it.

Personally I do t know that I could buy a car I haven't seen or driven. I'm sensitive to odd things like smells and stuff. But it depends on the buyer. Is the one across the country certified on a Lexus dealers lot?

I have seen certified cars and then decided against them therefore I will never buy a car unseen.

It is certified. I also have a hard time with that idea...

You have to drive the car. Don't trust anybody. Figure air fare and other travel expenses into cost of car. Then Choose.

Haha.. It's 46K and has 45K miles but its' certified.. It's grey with the saddle interior. I found it odd but I preferred this car to the 13' f sport which I test drove when it first came out. Very relaxed car. So comfortable and so quite.

Yeah the F Sport doesn't suit the personality of the car IMHO

I was just in the market for one so I can tell you that 33K is fair but if someone shops around they'll find cheaper. It also depends on the options (adaptive cruise, air suspension) which I have learned are not so easy to find on a low mileage 10-12 LS

I would never buy a car unseen. When I was shopping for my LS, I saw a lot of CPO LS's that were in fair/poor condition at various dealerships (EG: worn seats, body repairs, stanky interior) and met the Lexus CPO certification. I had to educate one salesman at a NJ dealership on how to spot a repaint panel and when I taught him what to look for he saw two other CPO's that had repainted panels on cars that had a clean car fax.
Search for the car you want, show up in person, test drive the car, do the deal if you like it OR go home because you will find what you are looking for sooner or later.

Totally agree, especially now that I learned about lexusdriver.com. I pulled up the records for a certified 13 f sport and it looks like the car was badly neglected by original owner (lease). No oil changes (or at least not through the dealer) and car went through major work during certification process. If a car is mechanically uncared for during the first 30k of ownership, I sure don't want to be the one caring for it at 100k - I might be dealing with issues cause by the neglect. That's why service history is so important but also knowing how to interpret the history is important. Kudos for lexus for allowing customers access to different cars history....

If you could save some $, you could look hard enough to find a dealer that will sell the Lexus VSA to you for the original 2011 40k mile unit. Else check out Carchex or warrantydirect or something, check with your credit union for coverage.
