I can tell you there is a difference between the wife's 13 GS350 and my 12 LS460. The LS has a good 2-3 inches more room...SWB....

A little more legroom in the LS..... Not much.
Want leg room? Check out the L model....... Amazing leg room for a tall man.
We were going to buy a GS until I found a beautiful LS for a little more $...... Happy we purchased the LS!

Never sat in he back of a GS, but I have had two very large officers in my back seat (insert joke here), and they had LOTS of legroom....even with my driver's seat way back.

I sat in the back of the nifty GS-F they had in the showroom while my deal was being written up and it didn't have nearly as much legroom to me versus when I sat in the LS.

I adjusted the driver seat to my normal driving position in both before doing that (the seat back extends to just past the pillar typically for my height). I paid most attention to how far I could extend my feet before hitting the front seats and there was a big difference to me. Well, it seemed like a few inches, but those few inches may as well be miles when it comes to backseat legroom.

More legroom and a V8 were the main reason's I moved from GS to LS. I always have clients and vendors in town and anyone that is even close to 6 feet tall and 200 lbs just barely fits in the back of the GS. I feel there is significantly more legroom in the LS.

Can't say I agree with that at all LOL.

The SWB LS has SIGNIFICANTLY more legroom in the back than the GS. I came from a 2013 GS and one of the big reasons I went to the LS was rear legroom. The GS was very tight in the rear with the driver seat adjusted for me, to the point where knees of the rider in the back contact the seat in front. In my SWB LS I can sit behind the drivers seat adjusted for me, and CROSS my legs without touching the seat in front of me.

When you look at the stats, it only shows a small difference but in reality the difference is significant.

The LWB obviously has even more rear legroom, bordering on silly lol

Not been in a GS. When I sat in the back of my SWB 460, I felt like I was in another county. The dash appeared to be in the far distance.

We drove my cousin and his wife to WV in the GS when I had it, so 4 adults all around 6' or high 5' range. Its a 5 hour trip, by about hour 3 the rear seat passengers were in full on revolt. Not so in the LS.

Interior measurements are notoriously and ridiculously unreliable even within the same manufacturer's lineup. There is no substitute for trying interiors out.

My SWB LS has way more knee room than a GS -- there's enough room for my 6'5" friend to sit behind me without hitting his knees on the seat. But it's a bit limited by foot room. The underseat vents may get in the way for passengers with bigger feet. That won't be an issue in an L.

I had sat in the back of a 13 or 14 L while looking at cars and it felt like I was swimming back there. seems like it has more room than my 08 L but that may be because I have the exec package and that console takes up a lot of space.

Had two of each, as far as car seats are concerned LS has a lot more room.
I put a front GS floor mat in the LS and its noticeably too small.

I guess Lexus may states it the same because the GS rear seat is smaller. I think the swb LS is obvious roomier.

The SWB LS seemed quite a bit bigger than the GS. The LWB has tons of space though.

I've only sat in the back of a third generation GS.
