Default New Tires

i just put michelin pilot hx mxm4 on my 2010 ls. I read every thread in this forum regarding tires before making my decision. I want to thank the forum members for making tire suggestions over the years.

So far they seem to be quiet and smooth. Just what i wanted.

Do the mxm4's get noisier as they wear?

I'm in need of new tires, and I'm looking to go for dedicated Winter and Summer sets.
For those guys that run Summer tires, what do you run/recommend?

All tires get noisier as the age. I have the Pilot HX MXM4 with 25,000 miles on them and they are much noisier than when new. New tires invariably sound quieter than the old ones they replaced. That's why it's difficult to interpret tire reviews and recommendations

I run Falken FK452's which are now made by another company but are the exact same tire and rebranded as Ohtsu FP8000. They're now manufactured in Thailand. I'm on my second set now and they are great tires for the money. I get about 25k miles out of them. Here's a long term test review done by a British publication:

Based on previous experience, if I did summer-only (I don't on this car; don't need the last hundredth of performance or have bad enough weather for winters) it would be either the Michelin Pilot Super Sport or the Continental ContiExtremeContact DW.
