Default FIXER KYOTO LS front bumper conversion

What's going on CL. I'm a newbie here and I'm hoping to get some assistance.

I'm thinking about getting a Gen4 LS460 and was searching the web for front bumper kits and other exterior upgrades that I could do to the car and I ran across this site http://www.fixer-kyoto.jp/ that offers a Gen4 to Gen5 front bumper conversion. I've sent emails and have tried to contact with the site about pricing and shipping but have not been able to get a response. If anyone have info on where or how to order this kit or know of any bumper kits similar to this one please let me know.

I've included a couple pics from the site of Gen4 LS's that have had the front bumper switched to the Gen5

Contact central pine on Facebook or Instagram. They had one here in the states. If not they can get it. If/when you do get it, try to have the area where the top of the bumper and hood meet fixed (large gap, chrome strip at the top of the grill should be flush to the hood.) the one that central pine has looks to fit a lot better than the ones above.

Another thing you can do is graph both bumpers together. It shouldn't be too hard since they are for the same body. You will just need to cut around the headlight fitment area and put join them together. At least by doing this, you will still have the feel and durability of original bumpers instead of fiberglass. It might be cheaper too since the bumper will run you $1400 from Central Pine.

They are different. Notice the grill does not meet up at the top with the hood on the Kyoto bumper.

Without a doubt. I like the central pine bumper better personally. Looks like a f-sport bumper with a front lip.

I think the Central Pine one is a full OEM replacement. Also check with them first and see if they have it in stock. A lot of places usually have to bid for them item them post.

The Kyoto one looks pretty good. I just don't like to extra bar at the hood.

if it doesn't work, you can go to Yahoo Auctions Japan and copy and paste this in the search area:

レクサス LS460 600 前期 フロントバンパー スピンドル 今月限

pretty cool conversion. I think this would add a lot of value to the car in terms of resale.

but how about the chrome trimming of the spindle shape grille ? Are we suppose to paint it chrome ? shouldn't there be a seperate chrome piece that attaches to the bumper ?

and will they be compatible with USDM front end front bumper absorbers ?

Looks really bad with that gap, like something you'd see on a really cheap car.

As for the chrome surround you would have to have it painted silver or wrapped in a chrome look. I am not sure if the bumper is compatible with the front bumper absorber, but id bet that if there is foam behind the stock front bumper, you'd have to trim or remove it to fit the new bumper.
