Default 2007 Lexus 460 Mark Levinson CD DVD Player Changer won't load or eject problem

Trying to figure out what may be happening with my Audio System. I'm out of warranty the car lives between Tucson and LA and has about 80k miles. I searched and found some similar issues but not exact.

I can't play a CD/DVD. I see the 6 DVD changer on the screen, it defaults and highlights Disc 6 and then after a while I get "DVD Error" message. I hit eject and hear a noise and get a flashing amber light but nothing comes out, when I hit load nothing but the same soft mechanical whirring noise and unable to load a disc. When I look in the slot I can see the little door down with the "Multi Disc" printing.

When I select the Disc/Aux button nothing shows in HDD. Aux iPod is connected through the headphone jack and cable and that plays through the system.
AM/FM/Sat all work fine, Navigation/Bluetooth work fine.

Is there someway to tell if a disc is stuck in there or if the mechanism is bad? I tried to put a credit card in the slot against the door and press the eject button but nothing happened except for a bent credit card. I also tried to whack the side of the console when pressing the eject button to see if that helped as some other thread suggested. Is the little door supposed to swing up or down to let the discs in and out?

Is there a video of how normal operation should work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My "07 with ML wouldn't load or eject discs. It would play the one cd that was in it. After carefully checking all the radio and audio fuzes, I finally took it to the dealer. It was a bad radio/disc unit. They ordered and installed an exchange remanufactured one. Part and labor was $910. All audio functions work perfectly now plus there were no fingerprints or trim damage at all.

Default Thanks

Took it to the dealer and looks like the CD/DVD Player is broken and I have to replace the whole unit. Looks like I'll live with the Satellite and my iPod through Aux for awhile to come.

I had a similar problem with my 2008 IS250 which has a similar mechanical section. If there's a disk stuck in there, get another disk, press load and push the disk in ~1" - it should start pulling - don't let go! Pull the disk out and the stuck one should follow. This was a fairly frequent problem with the early 2006+ IS model. Probably a function of pushing the disk in without waiting for the load light to turn green (it's easy to do).

Have you tried pushing and HOLDING your EJECT button....holding it down for 5-8 seconds might eject ALL your cds and clear your system.

This type of thing used to happen to my 2001 LS430, and just gave an error, I would disconnect the battery for 20 min and reconnect it, every time it would reset the audio system and it fixed it. Still years later works fine.

Try that for the heck of it, might solve it..
