Default HID Fogs installed.

I got a Volt kit from xenon depot. 4300k
Installation took less than 20 minutes, and I was going slow to make sure not to damage anything.
The plug that connects to factory fog light wiring had to be reversed. I was almost ready for it since my gs430 had the same issue. Not a big deal, reverse the plug, slide it in and tape it up a bit.

Results are great. While the color is not a perfect match to the factory headlights, the output almost doubles the lighting. In a real world, in a order to deal with fog you need to have a dedicated set of yellow lights. 80s Mercedes had them next to a head light. My 94 S500 had them as well and it worked very well. Since I drive the car mostly on weekends, I wasn't terribly worried about being caught in a fog.
Fogs now illuminate areas on the side and on the bottom mostly , so pot holes or road debris are more visible now. I find it useful. We like to take road trips and small country roads, and this will be a nice safety feature when times call for it.

Had the car for a month and 2000 k miles so far. This car sure likes to eat up miles. I wish the odometer would stop working. I really don't want it nearing 100k so fast.

Those match nicely. What brand are those, Volt as well?

Where the oem bulb harness plugs into the HID kit sometimes you have to reverse the plugs from the red and black colors. The locking clip is on the opposite side, so that's where taping it comes in or I ziptied to plugs together long ways. Had to do this for my 06 GS300.

Hope that makes sense

Thanks. That's exactly what I was saying.

I have to see if the fogs are blinding people or not. A few times I noticed they were lighting up areas higher than I wanted.

In comparison, my Gs430 had a horizontal looking light and most of the light output was looking down. This one might be different. I don't want to cause discomfort to other drives.

Either way the HID are staying, but I'll use them more selectively, as I need them.

Was wondering, are the fog light lenses adjustable? I'd like to lower the passenger side a bit. I think it's shooting to high.

Never mind. Found it.

Yes, there is a vertical adjustment gear for the fogs. Pull back fender liner, use a slotted screw driver to turn.. Park in front of wall so you can see horizontal beam pattern and match up the lines in the middle
