Exclamation LS460 wont start

Having an issue with the LS, hoping you guys can help diagnose.

Yesterday after coming to a stop and pressing the start/stop button, the vehicle wouldnt turn off. Eventually I got it to turn off (by pressing the button).

After I got it to turn off, I pressed the start button and it does not turn on. I get a message saying "Check VSC" . 1 click from under the hood and thats it. All power is there. Radio/AC/etc all work. Not brand new, but the battery is fully charged.

Trying to diagnose and fix the issue myself before calling for a flatbed to come and pick it up.

I dont think its the starter since I've had issues turning it off. Anyone know what it might be?

Its an '07 with 65k miles.

Just a guess, I think you might have a faulty brake switch. This switch needs to be activated to start the car.

you could disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect and see if that sort of "resets" it...

I would check the star/stop button since you said you had trouble shutting the car off.

Tried it. No luck. Checked the battery and it has full power.

I read about this too, but I was under the impression that if it falls above a certain VIN then you should be ok..?

Probably not but with a failed switch it could cause quirky behavior if it thinks the switch is open all the time or working intermittently especially if it's tied into a solid state circuit. I have seen odd behavior when a clutch switch goes out.

There is a TSB on start switches for 2007. The VSC message is what is questioning this theory.
