Have owned a 2014 LS460 since April. Ever since then, when accelerating decelerating between 1000 and 3000 rpm, we hear a whining and grinding noise. Does anyone have a similar problem?
idk man I test drove a 460 recently ,,,love the cars want to buy one,,but the engine sounds like a ticking time bomb with cheap little ticks and rattling.
These engines are flawed man, no other lexus model has had so many issues with engines

Those are normal sounds with a direct injection engine. And I would not consider these engines flawed. Care to site some examples of issues which would cause one to say the engines are flawed?

What engine problems? I know it had the valve recall, but what else? I have 80k on mine and I haven't had a problem, it doesn't make any noise, it doesn't leak, it doesn't over heat, it doesn't burn any oil (and I mean NONE), it has amazing power and incredible fuel economy for an engine that size. I guess I've been lucky?
The valve thing does worry me - only because I fear some techs won't bother to replace all 32 springs - because that's a lot of work and no one is watching...then one might break down the road. Still I haven't had a problem and it's been 30k miles since I had it done. I change the oil every 5k with synthetic...changed the air filters, changed the coolant. Just general maintenance stuff. Honestly at least I won't have to worry about timing belt costs...even the plugs are supposed to last 100k plus miles.

It's fairly well documented that the LS 460 engine is a lemon.
