I recently purchased a CPO 2010 Mica Truffle LS460L.

I noticed that the narrow strip between the roof of the car and the rear window that houses the top brake light was not properly installed on the car. It was bowed up in the middle by about 1/2" and would press flat when I pushed on it.

I notified the dealer who offered to replace this piece.

I thought this piece was color keyed to the color of my car and the piece would require painting. However, when I got the car back, the replacement piece was a flat black piece.

I want to find out if this is proper or not. Can someone check to see if this piece matches the body color of the car?

Sounds picky but it doesn't look quite right.

It's not color matched. It's gloss black

 

Ditto, gloss black on my Mercury Metallic 2010.

 

All the ones I've seen were glossy black. The small strip could easily be painted to match the vehicle color.

 

Gloss black. Take it back....that's not being picky, that's wanting your car to look stock and original like it came from the factory.
