Talking Is this a good buy??

Hey guys,
Need your feedback on this before I pull the trigger and buy..
2007- LS460L
135,159 miles
$23,000 asking
1-owner
Clean carfax
Well serviced..

I'm asking cause I want to know if the 135 miles is too high. Never had a LS before and wanted to know if I would encounter any issues even though that may be a case by case scenario. The car would not be a daily driven or for that matter not even weekly driven. The most miles I purchased on a lexus was 89,000 on a gs350 and never had any issues to this day.. Let me know your thoughts

Im from Canada and Im going to say thats a tad bit high..... If I convert the miles to KM its 225265KM...... last year I picked up my LS460L Executive Package for $27000CAD plus 13% tax for a total of $30510 and it had only 105,000KM which is 63000 Miles.

I'd say 17 - 19 K for that car would be a decent price.

My main concern would be the maintenance/records available. I'm still learning the ranks over here, but there are several issues I'd want to know how been taken care of prior to me purchasing an LS460 with 135k. What maintenance (big things) have been done?

Without knowing prices in your area, that would be a very high price for that mileage in my area unless it had the executive package and was meticulously maintained.

I don't have any lexus dealers here. I have to ship the vehicle to me. If we did the price would be crazy crazy.. What dealers charge here for a Camry loaded for example ( high 30's new) . Price that dealers charge here for Chevy or nissan is what I can get a good used lexus for.

I'm looking to trade my 2008 LS460L. In doing the research the private trade runs about 24-27k. I have 165000 miles and I'm in Maryland. To give you a reference point.
Hope this helps.

I love my car but the resale value on them is horrible. Once people hear the term "v8" they get scared due to our gas prices. I try to assure them that it's decent on gas. I get roughly 12.1 - 13.7 liters per 100 km. A tank lasts me 600km to 650km. Not bad for a v8 in my opinion.

Average asking price:
2007 Lexus LS460 L 4D Sedan LWB
$32862
Trim:*L*|Style:*4D Sedan LWB*|*Change Details

Trade in:
2007 Lexus LS460 L 4D Sedan LWB
Low $18,221
High $23,971
Trim:*L*|Style:*4D Sedan LWB*|*Change Details

I got these figures off http://www.canadianblackbook.com/black-book-values/index/display/neworused/used/year/2007/make/Lexus/postalcode/L1T4X7/model/LS460/mode/marketanalysis/trim/L/style/4D%20Sedan%20LWB/

Not sure if there is an American equivalent

Yes there is, actually there are several. GAZA, you should go to KBB, Edmunds and NADA and plug in all the info on the car and see what values you get there. Their values will vary, but average the three and you can get a pretty good idea what you should be paying.

If it looks like the price is high, use that info to bargain the price down with them. If it turns out they priced it too low, dummy up and buy the car fast!
